Artists from the Sudbury area and across the province came together to support the GNO and to provide the public with an extraordinary fundraising activity. A dozen works were created live, in the premises of the GNO, intended to be sold at auction. From 1 pm, the public was invited to come and meet the artists, see their works in progress and put the first bets on the works of their choice.
The activity took the form of a silent auction. The auction ended with a show at 7 pm with the duo Yves Doyon / Pandora Topp and Antoine Tremblay Beaulieu and his friends. The evening was hosted by Marie-Luce Garceau, Marie-Noël Shank and Sherry Drysdale.
This evening also marked the end of the annual fundraising campaign. Each donation, valued at $50, allowed people to enter their name in a draw and gave them the chance to win one of four original works drawn at random.
