Laura Demers is an emerging Franco-Ontarian artist, curator and writer living in Toronto. She obtained a BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Ottawa (2015) and an MA in History and Theory of Art from the University of Toronto (2017). She has exhibited her works in Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick. Laura is co-founder of the plumb gallery (theplumb.ca), a space run by emerging artists who are dedicated to providing extra space in a city where space is limited, especially for artists, community organizers and marginalized groups.
