Guillaume Dufour Morin is a visual and literary artist from Quebec, originally from Causapscal and currently based in Trois-Rivières. His contemporary art practice sits at the intersection of performance art, cultural mediation, and literary creation. It is composed primarily of performances and participatory interventions, and takes shape through multiple mediums, particularly installation.
The artist’s approach is relational, contextual, interdisciplinary, and process-based. It is dedicated to in situ/in socius creation and to a critical and poetic questioning of the construction of social inheritances through the collection and détournement of objects, narratives, and actions. As an artist-mediator, he acts as a conduit for stories and voices. His works have been presented in festivals, artist residencies, group exhibitions, and collective screenings in Quebec and internationally (United States, Latin America, Togo, Europe, and India). A recipient of numerous grants, the artist is also a teacher and author.
