Sophie LeBlanc

My artistic practice is primarily interested in abstract art forms (especially painting), photographic and documentary collage, architecture, technology, and the integration of philosophy and academic research into the visual arts. I am also interested in community and collaborative arts, social innovation and therefore the socio-economic and cultural aspect of the arts. I completed my undergraduate university education with a BA in Art, Architectural Studies and Art History from the University of Toronto (2012), as well as a BA (General) in Philosophy from Laurentian University (2014). My professional and community experiences have allowed me, and continue to allow me, to explore a wide range of subjects and fields including computer technologies, urbanization and sustainable development, folklore, textiles and fashion, cultural activities, curatorial practice , etc.
