Saturday Feb. 8, 2020, from 7pm to 1am, McEwen School of Architecture was hosting its 4th Nuit Blanche, an evening showcasing artistic installations made by students, staff and members of the community. The GNO joined the fun by presenting in exclusivity the exhibition Partage/Partake, by Andrei Aranyi, Jonathan Kabumbe and Jennie Philipow, three McEwen students.
Winter boots were left at the door to enter the space redesigned by the artists, where Congolese-inspired masks, and drawings of daily and historic scenes of Sudbury are displayed. For once, it is highly recommenced to touch the art as a way for the visitors to start a conversation between the objects.
Partage/Partake is shown until March 14, 2020 at the GNO. The official opening is Thursday Feb.13, at 5pm, during which a discussion is hosted by architecture teacher and co-director of Afield Kai Wood Mah.
